What Happens When You Leave Students Alone? | Edudemic

What happens when you leave students alone? I’ve always found this a fascinating concept. As a classroom teacher, one (of many) important epiphanies for me was the concept of simply getting out the students way. In aligning, sequencing, and heavily scripting, I always felt “in the way” of not just “the brightest” students, but all of them. We assume what appears to be apathy is for learning, but what if it’s for the process of learning?
